EMS Training and EMS Jobs
In order to find any EMS jobs, you will first need to get EMS training. EMS training involves a few steps. After your EMS training is completed you can start your search for EMS jobs in your area. Every town, city, area is always looking for qualified people, so finding EMS jobs may not be as hard as you think.
The first step in EMS training is to complete and pass a CPR for Healthcare Providers course. When doing this step of EMS training it is important to make sure the course is offered by the Red Cross or American Heart Association. When looking for EMS jobs they may ask who offered the course you took during your EMS training.
If it was not offered by one of the two mentioned above you may have difficulty finding EMS jobs because these are the Red Cross and American Heart Associations are the only two acceptable options.
You will also need to take and pass a 110 hour EMT course based on the US department of Transportation EMT course, when completing your EMS training. If you do not get a 70 or above you will not be able to apply for EMS jobs. You will also need to pass the written certification exam and pass all of the stations of the state practical exam when completing your EMS training. Once all of these steps have been passed and completed you can start to look for EMS jobs. You can find EMS jobs in your area by going online and looking at posting made by various cities and towns.
